However, lawyers in Thailand with a Notarial Services Attorney License are given power by the laws of Thailand to perform task similar to that of a notary public. For instance, verification of signatures authenticity, administration of oaths, attestation to certain documents, witness to a sign document.
Due to Thailand not being a party to the Legalization of Foreign Public Documents or the Hague Convention, a notarial authorization by a lawyer along with the legalization by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand is required in some documentation.
